Our Alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
As a proud member of the UN Global Compact, we believe that responsible business practices, combined with collaboration and innovation, can bring about powerful change in markets and societies. Aligning with applicable UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is helping us to take a part in creating a foundation for worldwide economic progress.
By incorporating the SDGs into our strategy, we are establishing long-term sustainable development in our products, operations and our stakeholder engagement. As a business we are focused on supporting the development of three targeted SDGs which align with our strategy for sustainable and profitable growth.

Key Targets
7.2- By 2030, increase substantially the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix
7.3 By 2030, double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency
7.a - By 2030, enhance international cooperation to facilitate access to clean energy research and technology, including renewable energy, energy efficiency and advanced and cleaner fossil-fuel technology, and promote investment in energy infrastructure and clean energy technology
Our Progress
As part of our Net Zero ambition we have committed to reducing emissions at our manufacturing sites by 20% by 2030 and sourcing 100% of our global electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
We set our Net Zero ambition in July 2021. In late 2021, we initiated a series of energy efficiency audits at key sites with the support of Schneider Electric to consider how we could reduce our energy consumption. In 2021, we increased our renewable energy consumption to 18.5% of global consumption and our HBK site at Virum became the first manufacturing facility to run on 100% renewable energy.

Decent Work and Economic Growth
Key Targets
8.4 Improve progressively, through 2030, global resource efficiency in consumption and production and endeavour to decouple economic growth from environmental degradation, in accordance with the 10-year framework of programmes on sustainable consumption and production, with developed countries taking the lead
8.5 - By 2030, achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value
8.6 - By 2020, substantially reduce the proportion of youth not in employment, education or training
8.7 - Take immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour, including recruitment and use of child soldiers, and by 2025 end child labour in all its forms
Our Progress
Our Code of Conduct and Supplier Code of Conduct require decent and safe working conditions, decent living quarters, wage and benefits.
Our goal is to have zero work-related injuries, using the standard of the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for measuring and reporting and we report annually on our Total Recordable Incident Rate.
Through the Spectris Foundation, we are supporting young people across our countries of operation to access a quality STEM education.

The Spectris Foundation believes that every person should have an equal right to quality Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) education. Their mission is to support charitable initiatives through grant-making, with a particular focus on enhancing and improving access to quality education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM); to empower students from all backgrounds.
Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
Key Targets
9.4 - By 2030, upgrade infrastructure and retrofit industries to make them sustainable, with increased resource-use efficiency and greater adoption of clean and environmentally sound technologies and industrial processes, with all countries taking action in accordance with their respective capabilities
